If a law is passed in the forest… 05.15.2006

So, illegal immigrants have been entering the country for decades.  Suddenly, within months America's reaction goes from nothing, to legislation flying, Mexicans leaving work, and people saying a War has been declared.  This of course, all covered by the media.  Obviously, something had to cause this sudden change in policy.  Did the media cause this?  Or is the media just over-covering a sudden random shift against illegal immigration.   Does anything actually happen without media coverage?

While I've mentioned it, I agree with everything Bush has said so far.

At least they’ve shut up about the bird flu.

For now…

Perhaps due to lack of media coverage, the bird flu as ceased to exist?

I hate the media… Overpayed PR department for a decaying buisness model. Wish we could all just go back in time to when ninjas and pirates got along and flipped out to kill people together.

Ninjas and pirates never got along. That’s a lie that the pirates constructed to make you think they were on an equal playing ground with ninjas. Who in their right mind would actually think a pirate could beat a freakin’ ninja!?

Let’s look at the facts: Ninjas and highly trained and skilled men of darkness, who can kill men with their bare hands. They are masters of deception, and know nothing of honor. They also wear cool shoes, and get to jump from building to building.

Pirates are just filthy, drunken bastards who wouldn’t know a shuriken from a donut. And lest you forget, I’m a fan of Jack Sparrow!

Ninjas in Asia use ninja stars covered in chicken blood to destroy villages with the bird flu!

Totally off topic, but this is for both of you if you’re interested:

I’m writing an English paper on how video games affect the English language, and could use some more imput from gamers. I’m focusing on MMORPG’s (anything multiplayer than requires communicating with teammates, really), localization issues, and gamer/l33t speak.

If you have any insight you’d like to share, it would really help. :)
